FIFA 18 Could See The Arrival Of The Legend We've Been Waiting For

FIFA fanatics are already thinking about next year's game and what changes, improvements and additions we can expect to make FIFA 18 that much better, and continue the evolution of the franchise.

It appears as though one surprise may well have been spoiled, and it's a bloody good one.

A video of some Russian commentators doing a couple voice-over bits for FIFA 18 has been doing rounds, but they've made a bit of a slip-up that will get fans seriously excited about the next edition of FIFA.

The clip, posted by 'cherdantsev71' on Instagram, has since been deleted, but not before fans were able to download it and share it about.

I can't claim to speak Russian but you can clearly hear one of the commentators belt out 'Ronaldo' at the start of the clip.

One fine chap on the FIFA subreddit has kindly translated what the commentator was saying, and it all points towards FIFA 18 seeing the arrival of the Brazilian Ronaldo.

Commenting on the post of the clip, Reddit user 'Goud1n1' wrote the following:

Clearly the commentator is talking about the former Barcelona, Inter Milan, Real Madrid and AC Milan striker, whose last appearance in the FIFA series was back in FIFA 11 before he retired from football

It's unclear at this point whether or not he will part of the FIFA Ultimate Team legends pack that is available to players on Xbox, or whether he will merely part of the game as a player in the Classic XI.

But the aforementioned piece of commentary is a clear signal that R9 will be back in a FIFA game, and it's all incredibly exciting.

Fans have been clamouring for the two-time Ballon d'Or to be in the game in some capacity for a while now, and it finally looks like it's happening. Get in there.

But if it somehow turns out that he's not in the game, and this was all a cruel rib (which would be break all of hearts) - then we'll have to settle for creating Ronaldo on the game.

Some clever clogs managed to create another Brazilian legend in FIFA 17 when they perfectly captured Ronaldinho.

R10 was featured on the front cover of FIFA 04, FIFA 06, FIFA 07, FIFA 08 and FIFA 09 but has not even been featured in the game in the last two versions.

He was last included in the game in FIFA 15 and though EA have the capacity to have him in the game as part of the Classic XI team or as a legends card on FIFA Ultimate Team, it's not happened and fans have been unable to destroy defenders using Ronaldinho on the game.

However, the whizkids at Moddingway, who specialise in modifications and patches, managed to create the 2005 Ballon d'Or winner and it's fair to say that they've got it spot on.

They appeared to use some coding hacks (it's all about technical) to do it.

Their description read:

"We have been able to add Ronaldinho to Classic XI. As well as we did with Robinho, it was a complex process heaxediting squad files. We have enabled his real face hidden in the game. We`ll let you know when we will be able to release an update."

A creation centre is used in a whole host of games, for instance people can create their favourite wrestlers on WWE 2K17 and get them down to a tee, but it's much more difficult for the average Joe to do it on FIFA 17.

Many have created Ronaldinho in the past and informed others , but only Moddingway have well and truly mastered it by inserting his game-face and signature headband along with giving him the adequate technical skills that we've been accustomed to seeing over the years.

Here's hoping they don't have to do the same for Ronaldo on FIFA 18.
