The New York Red Bulls defender, who has one cap for his country, is also said to be a target for Leicester and Stoke.
FourFourTwo reported last month that he had rejected a move to the champions over the summer in favour of guaranteed game time in MLS.
But he is adamant that isn't the case.
He told Empire of Soccer: "Interest from Chelsea? It's definitely been a good year for me in general, playing a lot of minutes, and trying to establish myself as a professional.
"But I don’t know anything about that."
He is looking to move to the Premier League in the future however.
He told FourFourTwo: "The EPL is a very intriguing proposition.
"I love that league - it’s very competitive and there's a lot of passion involved.
"Hopefully one day I will have an opportunity to play there.
"I believe my skillset fits the way football is played over there."
