Mourinho confirms Falcao injury

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho expects to be without Radamel Falcao "for a few weeks" after the striker picked up an injury in training on Tuesday.

The Colombia international has struggled to break into the first team at Stamford Bridge following his loan move from Monaco during the last transfer window.

Falcao has started just one game in the Premier League this term, with his one and only goal coming against Crystal Palace on August 29.

Mourinho confirmed in his pre-match press conference ahead of the Blues' clash with Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League on Wednesday that the 29-year-old striker is unlikely to feature any time soon after breaking down during a training session this week.

"Today Falcao picked up an important muscular injury and he will be out for a few weeks," Mourinho told the assembled media.
