Premier League newcomers Bournemouth have confirmed the signing of Ivorian forward Max Gradel from French Ligue 1 outfit St Etienne on a four-year deal.
Gradel spent a successful loan spell at Dean Court during the 2007/08 season while on the books of Leicester City, netting 9 goals in 34 League One appearances for the Cherries.
The 27-year-old now returns to the Dorset club following an impressive campaign for St Etienne and manager Eddie Howe has backed Ivory Coast International Gradel to have an instant impact at the club in their first season in the top flight.
"I am delighted to have brought someone of Max’s quality and calibre to the football club," Howe told the Daily Echo.
"Having worked with him when I was a young coach and he was a young player, we built up a strong relationship.
"He had real ability and was an eye-catching performer. Our supporters took to him straight away and, hopefully, they will do that again. I have no doubts that they will rekindle their love for him."
