Manchester United have no intention of signing Radamel Falcao permanently

Manchester United have no plans to make Radamel Falcao’s loan deal permanent in the summer, according to The Times’ James Ducker.

Falcao joined Man United last summer from Monaco but his spell at Old Trafford has to go down as a resounding failure.

Having scored just four goals this season, the Colombian has often been left on the substitute’s bench by Louis van Gaal during the second half of the campaign.

Ducker intimated Falcao will be moved on in the summer and that United will look for an established striker instead.

Speaking about United’s transfer plans, Ducker said: “With no plans to turn Radamel Falcao’s loan move into a permanent deal and given Robin van Persie’s uncertain future as he prepares to enter the final year of his contract, United are in the market for an established striker.”

Thoughts will turn to who the team can bring in at the end of the season, with Paulo Dybala and Edinson Cavani both linked with moves to Old Trafford.

It will be an important decision for United to make as they cannot afford to sign another flop. Meanwhile, Falcao will likely move to a club such as Juventus as he looks to resurrect his career and reputation.
