Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain took to social media on Thursday afternoon to share a photo of himself as a child wearing an England kit.

The Arsenal midfielder used the picture as his Throwback Thursday post on Instagram and was clearly amused by his parents' choice of size for his strip.

Oxlade-Chamberlain shared the snap on his Instagram account and wrote: "#TB to my first football kit! My parents were clearly planning for it to last me a good few years... "That's the perfect size, plus you've got a bit of room for growth"

The England international has been in good form for Arsenal so far this season. The 21-year-old has netted three goals in all competitions, including his side's only strike in the 3-1 Champions League defeat by Monaco last month.

He has scored one goal and made one assist in 22 Premier League games for Arsene Wenger's men so far this season.

Oxlade-Chamberlain will be hoping to feature when Arsenal travel to Old Trafford to face Manchester United in Monday night's FA Cup quarter-final clash.

Arsenal lost 2-1 to United in their most recent meeting back in November.
