Done deal: Arsenal make first January signing by sealing move for starlet Krystian Bielik

Arsenal have completed the signing of 17-year-old midfielder Krystian Bielik from Legia Warsaw.

The Gunners had a bid in the region of £2.5m accepted last week by the Polish outfit for the midfielder, who has now agreed personal terms and passed a medical.

Bielik made his debut for Legia in August aged 16 and he has made six appearances this season.

Hamburg were hoping to sign Bielik but Arsenal have seen off their late challenge.

The Polish youngster revealed he opted to join the Gunners over the Bundesliga outfit because of Arsene Wenger.

He said: "First of all, because of Arsene Wenger. He is a legend, 'The Boss' as they call him at Arsenal."

"In Hamburg, the team has a very young coach and their target for this season is to avoid the relegation from Bundesliga. This also had an impact."
