MOUTHY Big Brother winner Helen Wood has blasted ex-lover Wayne Rooney, saying: “He’s the one who cheated on his pregnant wife, not me.”
SCANDAL: Busty Helen taking in the applause as she is crowned Big Brother queen
The Bolton lass, 27, admitted she regrets having a threesome with former pal Jenny Thompson and the England footie star while Coleen, 28, was expecting his first child.
But after her stint in Big Brother re-ignited hatred towards her over the romp, furious Helen claimed Rooney, 28, is given an easy ride by fans.
She told the Daily Star Sunday: “I’m not saying what I did wasn’t wrong – it was. “Would I do it again? No. But I wasn’t the one who was cheating while married with my wife pregnant. And that’s what he did.
"People are never as quick to judge him like they do with me. It’s very narrow-minded. But it’s standard, I guess. He’s a footballer.
"Obviously a footballer is going to be more of a favourite than someone who’s been a prostitute in the past.
"But whatever. They’re still married. If that’s the way they want to conduct their marriage that’s up to them.”
The scandal in 2010 made Helen a hate figure to millions.
The beauty therapist suffered years of abuse over it and it left her confidence in tatters.
BLASTED: Helen has blasted Rooney as the real villian of their threesome
She said: “I could never have done Big Brother back then. I was too vulnerable.
"The whole thing knocked my confidence completely. I stopped going out. I became a recluse.”
Helen claims she was forced to come clean about her romp with the Man United ace after Thompson, 25, sold the story.
And she is convinced that she will be dogged by the scandal forever.
Helen said: “It’s not a label that I’m proud of. I know people know me for sh*gging a footballer. I hate that stigma. But it’s not going to go away. There’s no point pretending it is. It’s become part of me.
"I’ll never be able to forgive Jenny for what she did. She sold me down the river.”
She added: “As much as it’s been tough I don’t ever want to use it as a sob story. I’m not going to play the victim. And a lot of the negative reaction I get is down to my own behaviour.
"I’ve got to face up to the fact these things are being said because of the way I behave. It was a crap stage of my life.
WINNER: Helen's stint in Big Brother has reignited the headlines over her sex party with Wayne Rooney
"But I did what I did and I knew there would be consequences.”
The brunette continued: “It’s like when I worked as a prostitute. I was in a situation where I felt like I didn’t have a choice. But that was a cop-out.
"I chose to do it as an easy way out to get myself back on the straight and narrow.”
Helen expects the abuse over the story to continue for years – but said surviving Big Brother has made her stronger.
She said: “I’ll be able to take whatever gets thrown at me. I’m not going to respond to people who want to upset me. They’re just going to get ignored.
"It’s about getting a grip. Not sitting there saying ‘Woe is me’.”
