WE all know Rihanna had a great time during the World Cup, tweeting her views on matches, attending the final and sharing pecks on the cheek with members of Germany’s victorious side.
But we didn’t realise that her enjoyment of the game would extend to wanting to share a boardroom with the likes of Mike Ashley and David Sullivan.

Last week came reports that the singer wants to set up her own footballing academy in Barbados before branching into football ownership, with the Diamonds singer said to be fancying a jump into the English game.
And now, Spanish news provider Mundo Deportivo reports that the club the pop star wants to call her own is Liverpool!
Could Rihanna become the owner of fabled EPL club Liverpool?
The Reds finished second in the Premier League last season playing an adventurous style - something the good girl gone bad knows all about.
Liverpool are under the ownership of the Fenway Sports Group - who have splashed the cash this summer as they look for another sustained title challenge - and FSG have shown zero inclination that suggests they could sell the club any time soon.
So while she may want to take care of the 18-time English champions, she may not be able to run this town.
SUPER NEGUESHA DOING MARIO PROUD
It must have been a matter of days since Mario Balotelli has made headlines.
But keeping the great man on the lips of football fans is his fiancee Fanny Neguesha, who has taken to Instagram while her man is away with friends on holiday in Tuscany.
The Belgian model gave the AC Milan star a racy reminder of what awaits him at home.
Mario celebrated his birthday today, turning a ripe old 24. His friends are hoping he will mature, just a little bit. We don’t like the chances.

WEBB: I’M NO RED DEVIL
Retired referee Howard Webb infuriated plenty of non-Manchester United fans over his long and illustrious career - and was infamously depicted in a Man U jersey in a Twitter incident that cost former Liverpool winger Ryan Babel a 10 grand fine.
Yet Webb has hit back, denying he is a Man U fan or ever gave the club any favourable treatment.
"There’s no element of truth in it,” Webb told the Daily Mail.
See... not a Man u fan at all.
"It’s not something that affected me or played on my mind at all. It wasn’t hurtful. Much of it is tongue-in-cheek, of course.
"What does play on my mind is when I’ve made a mistake, particularly an influential one that has affected the outcome of a game. I’d be dishonest if I said it didn’t bother me.
"One newspaper listed the five games I’d want to forget over the course of my career. Well, there’s more than five.
"But against the backdrop of more than 500 professional games – I can think of many top professional footballers who have made plenty of mistakes but are still top professional footballers.”
RON’S LOVE-IN WITH FERGIE, PLATINI
Cristiano Ronaldo had a wow of a time at the UEFA Super Cup today.
Not only did the Real Madrid superstar score both goals in a 2-0 win over Sevilla, he also had an adorable reunion with his old Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson - who presented his man of the match award.
Up in the presentation area, UEFA supremo Michel Platini thought his performance was so impressive that he tried to give Ron TWO winners medals.
VIEIRA SLAMS ITALIAN JOB
You don’t want to get Patrick Vieira angry.
But that’s just what the Italian FA has done by appointing Carlo Tavecchio its president, after he made an alleged racist comment in an interview that African players were “banana eaters”.
Joining a chorus of outrage, Arsenal legend and former Inter, AC Milan and Juventus player Vieira made his dismay clear.
"I’m finding it really hard to believe that Carlo Tavecchio has been elected as president of the Italian FA after the comments that he made,” Vieira posted on Twitter.
Patrick Vieira has slammed the appointment of Carlo Tavecchio as Italian FA boss
"For me, that shows how far away the Italian football authorities are from dealing with discrimination. 63.63% of those that voted are admitting that they aren’t fighting against racism, or that they don’t want to fight these problems. I played in Italy for years so I know the issues, I saw the issues.
"If he was an English man making this kind of comment, politically, he would be completely out.
"This decision was made in football, but I think it is bigger than football. It should make the whole country of Italy look at the message they want to send about what they think about racism.
"I can’t believe he will represent the Italian Football Authorities. What a shame.”
MRS NEVILLE GETS KIT OFF FOR HEALTH
Former Manchester United and Everton defender Phil Neville’s wife Julie has gone natural - shedding her kit for an advertising campaign.
She has gone nude to help launch her new health shop in Manchester’s Arndale Centre.
Mrs Neville has converted her husband to vegetarianism, and she supplies the England team and several Premier League clubs with supplements.
The 38-year-old told the Manchester Evening News: “Nowadays people are always looking for quick fixes – be it ready meals, weight loss or recovering from illness, and are too keen to put food and chemicals into their body without thinking about the long-term consequences.
"The idea behind the naked photo shoot was to highlight there are ways to be the way we want to be but naturally – the way nature intended.”
Phil Neville said of turning vego: “I started to feel healthier, leaner. I started to feel great. You can get your proteins, you can get every kind of nutritional values in vegetarian dishes.”
