Mancini tells Toure to decide future

Roberto Mancini says it is up to Manchester City defender Kolo Toure to decide whether he wants to join Turkish club Bursaspor.

Toure has been unable to reclaim his first-team spot at City on a regular basis since returning from a six-month ban for failing a drugs test and he started only eight Premier League games last season.

Bursaspor revealed earlier this month that they were in talks over a deal for the 31-year-old, whose agent subsequently told Sky Sports that Toure's priority is to focus on a new season with City.

However, Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal are also keen on the Ivory Coast international and Mancini has suggested the centre-half has a decision to make on his future.

Mancini, though, also questioned whether Bursaspor would be able to afford Toure, who joined City in a £16 million deal from Arsenal three years ago.

The City boss said in The Sun: "It's up to Kolo to decide if he wants to go to Bursaspor or not, however, can they meet his demands?"
