Son Heung-min has scored the Premier League’s goal of the season so far into the campaign and has earned praise by Gary Lineker.

Tottenham star Son Heung-min has scored the best goal of the season so far against Burnley and Gary Lineker described it as "one of the greatest individual goals" of all time. Son picked up the ball just outside Spurs' box and drove it all the way to Nick Pope's area with an incredible run and netted the home side's third goal after 32 minutes at the Tottenham Stadium.

The South Korea international's sensational finish left Lineker amazed as he considers it as one of the best goals he has ever seen and claims it could go down as the best of the season.

The Tottenham legend tweeted: "Wow. Son has just scored one of the greatest individual goals you’re ever likely to see. Goal of the season, me thinks."

Spurs are 3-0 up as Harry Kane and Lucas Moura netted Spurs' first two within the space of five minutes.

Son's form has  been impressive this season with nine goals in 19 appearances in all competitions.

The former Bayer Leverkusen star has also hit the target four times in the last five matches.

The forward's form shows that he hasn't been daunted by the managerial change, which saw Mauricio Pochettino being replaced by Jose Mourinho.

The 27-year-old rose to prominence under the guidance of Pochettino as he has scored a total of 76 goals in 207 appearances throughout his four-year stint at Tottenham.

However, he insists Mourinho has brought in a "positive vibe" with his smiles and jokes.

Son said: "He’s very kind. He’s smiling, making jokes with the players. I like it, of course.

“I think the results changed a lot, the positive vibe.

“Everyone is positive before games. The gaffer is doing a great job and we are really happy with him.

“The atmosphere changed a lot with the positive vibes."

Lineker, on the other hand wasn't too pleased with Pochettino's departure and hinted that the Argentine will be irreplaceable.

The Match of the Day host tweeted last month: "Mauricio Pochettino has been sacked by @SpursOfficial. He helped the club to punch massively above their weight for years.

"Good luck with finding a better replacement....ain’t gonna happen."

However, Mourinho seems to have halted Tottenham's average run of form with three wins in the last four matches.

The Portuguese manager is also getting a lot out of some key players like Harry Kane, Dele Alli and of course Son.
