Portsmouth vs Coventry - Portsmouth full-back James Bolton set to return for Coventry clash
Posted Tuesday, August 20, 2019 by PA
James Bolton is pushing for a Portsmouth recall for the Sky Bet League One clash with Coventry at Fratton Park.
Right-back Bolton travelled with the squad for the weekend defeat at Sunderland, but was left out of the matchday squad as he was deemed not quite ready for a return but he is available against the Sky Blues.
Bryn Morris (groin) and Ryan Williams (quad) are nearing fitness but remain sidelined for the clash.
Oliver Hawkins is out with a foot problem and Jack Whatmough (knee) is also missing.
Coventry manager Mark Robins has a full squad to choose from.
Winger Gervane Kastaneer could be pushing for a start after scoring just one minute after coming off the bench in the weekend win over Bristol Rovers.
Amadou Bakayoko played the last 15 minutes against the Pirates and has hopes of his own of earning a recall after starting the first two games of the season.
Robins has no fresh injuries to contend with after an impressive start to the season that has seen the Sky Blues win two matches and draw the other game.
