Gary Warren is a fitness doubt for Exeter’s League Two season-opener against Macclesfield.
The 34-year-old summer recruit from Yeovil has picked up a hamstring strain and may not be ready for his competitive bow at St James Park.
New arrivals Alex Fisher and Tom Parkes could come into the equation, however.
Manager Matt Taylor is looking to include 20-year-old forward Ben Seymour and 18-year-old full-back Jack Sparkes this term.
Theo Archibald could make a swift debut for Macclesfield having joined in midweek from Brentford.
The 21-year-old former Celtic youth star is ready to get going for Sol Campbell’s men.
Fleetwood loan defender Eddie Clarke will be in the mix to feature too, with ex-Kidderminster centre back Fraser Horsfall also available.
Former Port Vale defender Theo Vassell has been handed the number six shirt, indicating his importance in Campbell’s planning.
