MANCHESTER UNITED boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has opened up on the transfer window - and the roles of the Glazers and Ed Woodward.

Manchester United boss Solskjaer has had a fruitful start to the transfer window, already signing two players.

Daniel James was the first to arrive, touching down from Championship side Swansea.

And Manchester United also snapped up Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The 21-year-old arrived from Crystal Palace last weekend for £50million, making him the club’s fifth most-expensive player of all time.

Solskjaer is hoping to sign more players this summer as he plots an improved Premier League campaign.

Sean Longstaff and Bruno Fernandes, of Newcastle and Sporting Lisbon respectively, are in their sights.

And as is Leicester’s Harry Maguire.

Solskjaer has now opened up to MUTV about the club’s transfer plans and said: "We are quite calm.

“We have been good in the market so far and still working on a case or two.

“I have been in touch with Joel (Glazer), Ed (Woodward) + recruitment department over summer.

“There will probably be some more business done but happy with what we have done so far.”

While incomings are expected at United this summer, there could also be some outgoings.

Romelu Lukaku is wanted by Inter Milan having been told by Solskjaer he will be deputy to Marcus Rashford.

And Nemanja Matic is on the Serie A giants’ radar too.

Reports today have suggested that Inter are willing to offer United cash plus Radja Nainggolan to land the Serbia international.

Matteo Darmian is on the radar of La Liga giants Valencia, despite his preference to be a return to Italy.

And Paul Pogba is in the sights of Real Madrid and Juventus amid uncertainty over his future.

He is, though, expected to be on the plane when United jet out to Australia for their pre-season tour.

Most of his team-mates are already back in training.

But United have granted Pogba extra time off following a hectic 18 months.

Meanwhile, Axel Tuanzebe and Andreas Pereira have both signed United contract extensions.

Pereira has signed on the dotted line until 2023, with Tuanzebe extending his own stay to 2022.
