Giovani Lo Celso backed to shine at Tottenham
Tottenham target Giovani Lo Celso can be an even better player for Spurs than Christian Eriksen has been over the years.
That’s the view of South American football expert Tim Vickery.
"He's a very, very talented left-footed playmaker, you can certainly see the reason behind the Tottenham connection, with Christian Eriksen perhaps looking to move on," he told Sky Sports News.
"Lo Celso would bring some of the things that Christian Eriksen brings, with perhaps a little bit more dynamism, maybe not as deadly as the Dane from set-pieces, but more dynamism over the field.
"He had a terrific season for Real Betis.”

Bruno Fernandes latest
Manchester United have yet to make a bid for Sporting Lisbon star Bruno Fernandes.
That’s according to Portuguese football journalist Felipe Dias, who spoke to Sky Sports news.
"As far as I know there is not even a serious bid for him. The clubs are hesitant to do a deal for him,” Dias said.
"He deserves a move, the top clubs in England have all been linked, Spurs, Manchester City and Manchester United.
"It's still a bit of a mystery. With or without Jorge Mendes - the guy that makes everything happen - being involved, his season was so fantastic that he should have been sold already.
"Sporting can't afford to sell him cheap because they would be the laughing stock with Benfica having sold Felix for €120m - and he only has six months of top-level football.
"The market is crazy like this."

Marcus Rashford close to contract agreement
Manchester United are close to agreeing a new contract extension with striker Marcus Rashford.
Rashford is one of United’s most promising young players but has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford.
Barcelona are said to be the main team interested in Rashford but the Catalan side haven’t put forward a bid.
The England international’s agent cleared up speculation that Barcelona were going to make a move for Rashford a couple of months ago.
Dwayne Maynard posted on his Instagram story: “The media just make it up as they go along. Stop.”
And now it looks as if Rashford is set to stay, with a new contract close to being finalised.
His current deal expires at the end of the 2019/20 season but United are desperate to tie their striker down to a new deal.

Arsenal interested in Gary Cahill
Arsenal are considering making a move for former Chelsea hero Gary Cahill this summer.
Cahill left Chelsea after the expiry of his contract with the Blues, having not played a great deal last season under Maurizio Sarri.
Arsenal are in need of defensive reinforcements and want experience along their backline.
The Gunners are under tight budget instructions after their failure to qualify for next season’s Champions League and would nab Cahill for free.
And according to 90min, Arsenal are seriously considering the option of offering Cahill a contract.
The report also states that Aston Villa, West Ham and Crystal Palace are interested.

Christian Eriksen offered to Real Madrid
Tottenham chief Dany Levy has called Real Madrid to offer the transfer of Christian Eriksen, according to reports.
Tottenham chief Levy could lose Eriksen this summer, with the Denmark international eager to leave the club for a new challenge elsewhere.
Spanish newspaper Marca claim that Tottenham’s Levy has called Real Madrid to offer them the chance to sign Eriksen.
Levy is aware that, should he fail to move the player on this summer, he will lose him for nothing next year.
As a means of avoiding that situation, the Tottenham kingpin is trying to get Eriksen off the books right away.
Marca say that Spurs will accept a fee of £62million for their star asset.

Divock Origi to sign new Liverpool deal
Liverpool’s Champions League hero Divock Origi is expected to sign a new long-term contract with the club.
Origi barely played for Liverpool last season but scored some hugely-important goals for the Reds throughout the campaign.
The Belgian netted the winner in the Merseyside derby as well as two goals against Barcelona in the Champions League semi-finals.
Origi went on to score in the final against Tottenham in a 2-0 win which saw Liverpool win their sixth European Cup.
It was thought that Jurgen Klopp was keen to reward the 24-year-old with a new contract before it was suggested that he was being courted by multiple teams in Europe - including Real Betis.
But according to Football Insider, Origi has agreed terms on a new contract with Klopp, who spoke to his striker while on holiday.

Solskjaer’s message to Wan-Bissaka
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has welcomed new Manchester United signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka to the club.
He said: “Aaron is one of the best upcoming defenders in the Premier League.
"He has the right work ethic, talent and mentality to play for Manchester United and he fits exactly the type of player that we are looking to bring into the squad to help us improve and push on further.
"Aaron is a young, hungry player and eager to learn and that’s important at his age.
"I am delighted he has signed with us and we look forward to continuing his tremendous development so far.”

Arsenal should keep Torreira
Former Arsenal winger Jimmy Carter says the club should give Lucas Torreira another year unless he’s pushing for a move away.
Torreira has been linked with a move to AC Milan after claiming he didn’t like the weather in England, but Carter hopes he stays put.
"He is not the most creative player,” he said. “I would give him another year unless he is really unsettled and he wants to move to AC Milan.
"If he tells Unai Emery he wants to go back to Italy then Arsenal could let him go but then he would need replacing. You can’t sell everyone."

Kylian Mbappe is reportedly ready to see his wages slashed in order to seal a dream move to PSG.
Marco report that Mbappe will NOT sign another deal with PSG in the hope of securing a move to Madrid.
PSG are desperate to keep their France World Cup star and Marca say he will not extend his deal which currently runs until 2022.
And he would then push for a move to Real Madrid in the next transfer window.

Wan-Bissaka confirmed
Manchester United have confirmed the signing of Aaron Wan-Bisska from Crystal Palace.
The defender is the club’s second summer signing and has completed a deal worth £50m,
Wan-Bissaka said: “It’s an unbelievable feeling and an honour to call myself a Manchester United player and something I know that only a small number of players have the privilege to say.
"I can’t wait to get going and integrated into the squad. I will have a short break now after the European Championships but I’m looking forward to starting training with the manager and my new team-mates on the pre-season tour.”

PSG slash Neymar asking price
PSG have reportedly slashed their asking price for Neymar as they look to do a deal with Barcelona.
PSG previously wanted a deal in excess of £270m (€300m), but are now ready to take much less.
French publication Le Parisien claim PSG want between 130 and 150 million euros and two players thrown into the mix.
Neymar is keen to return to Spain after failing to get to grips with life in Paris.

Arsenal have identified Keita Balde as a new winger target, and a cheaper alternative to Wilfried Zaha.
Arsenal want Zaha but with Palace demanding £80m are likely to be priced out.
And Sky Sports report that Arsenal have been watching Balde at the Africa Cup of Nations and could tempt him to England.
Balde is valued at £25m-£28million which would fit within Arsenal’s budget.

Cheryshev spent last year on loan at Valencia and will make the move permanent.

Arsenal 'mad' to let Aubameyang leave
Ray Parlour admits he’s be shocked if Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was allowed to leave for Manchester United.
Parlour told talkSPORT: “It would be madness to let him [Aubameyang] go, but players have got all the power these days.
"Aubameyang and Lacazette were absolutely brilliant last season. It looks like they’ve got a really good relationship up front, you can see how they celebrate goals.
"I’d be amazed by that [if he signed for United], I really would. That would shock me.”

Celtic done deal
Celtic have completed the signing of Luca Connell from Bolton.
The midfielder has penned a four-and-a-half year deal and has flown out to join Celtic on their pre season tour of Austria.
Celtic have been looking to bring players in under Neil Lennon this summer.
Yesterday they completed the signing of Christopher Jullien who revealed Lennon came to see him to convince him to join.
"He came to Paris on his birthday to meet me, and I thank him for that,” he said.
"He was in the training camp but he told me he was excited to meet me in Paris and, for me, it's a great feeling to have a coach who really wants you and was just happy to see me.”

Tierney should be insulted
Chris Sutton claims Celtic and Kieran Tierney should be furious with Arsenal over their transfer bids.
"Kieran Tierney should be insulted by Arsenal’s bids for him,” he wrote in his Daily Record column.
"Celtic and Scottish football should also be seeing disrespect in what the Gunners are offering.
"Yet again I’m having the same argument I’ve been having year-on-year since Virgil van Dijk was inexplicably allowed to leave Celtic for a fee of £13million in the summer of 2015.
"Nothing has changed. English clubs believed then they could get away with transfer market murder and they still do.
"Fair enough all clubs start low in a bidding process but £15m for Tierney smacks of disgusting contempt. Not just for Celtic and Scottish football but for the boy.”

Pochettino on transfer power
Mauricio Pochettino has admitted he doesn’t have full control over transfers at Tottenham.
"At Tottenham, Chelsea, Arsenal, there's not the freedom that Pep [Guardiola] and [Jurgen] Klopp have at Manchester City and Liverpool," he said.
"Pep has total control of the plan at City. It's a different model at Tottenham and other clubs.
"Selling players, deciding and offering contracts, buying players - it depends solely on the manager, in the case of Pep or Klopp. Things aren't the same at other clubs [like Tottenham]."
When asked who has the final say, he said: "Our president, Daniel Levy. It's not in my power.”

Wan-Bissaka delay
Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s move to Manchester United has been delayed over final negotiations between the clubs.
Wan-Bissaka has completed his medical in Manchester and is set to be announced as the club’s second summer signing.
But the BBC report that final talks between the clubs over a 10% add-on has slowed things downs.
It is reported that Palace wanted a sell-on clause if United make a profit on the defender and have now agreed full terms for the sale.

Matthijs de Ligt transfer twist
Ajax have seemingly moved the goalposts in the deal for Matthijs de Ligt.
The centre-back has agreed personal terms on a move to Juventus but Ajax are demanding more money to sell him.
That could open the door back up for the likes of PSG and Manchester United to get back into the market for the defender.
De Ligt is seen as the top young defender in the game after impressing for Ajax last term.

Chelsea prepare Morata recall
Chelsea could recall Alvaro Morata from Atletico Madrid, after issuing an ultimatum.
Chelsea want £50m for the striker and have told Atletico they will recall the striker if they don’t pay up, according to the Telegraph.
Morata struggled at Chelsea and has publicly said he doesn’t want to return to the club.
However the Blues, who have been banned from signing players, could look to him to lead the line next season under Frank Lampard.
Liverpool could spend big
Liverpool could spend £150m on new signings this summer, according to finance expert Kieran Maguire.
"They could spend another £150m if they wanted to this summer,” he said.
"I think Jurgen Klopp is very pleased with the squad and he’s also had some absolute bargains in the likes of Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold who came through the academy, and those two alone will have saved £100m.
"So it’s not just about spending big, it’s spending smart as well, which you’ve got to give the club credit for.”
