Preston will once again be without midfielder Ben Pearson through suspension for their clash with Bristol City.
Pearson begins a two-match suspension for collecting 10 bookings – the fourth ban he has received this season totalling 10 games.
Ryan Ledson is among the contenders to replace Pearson as Preston look to continue their impressive recent form having gone eight matches unbeaten, winning five.
Right-back Darnell Fisher could return to the squad after missing last Saturday’s 3-1 win over Millwall because of a hip problem.
Bristol City will look to get back to winning ways after three defeats in a row.
Having previously won nine matches in succession, it has been a tough couple of weeks for City, although manager Lee Johnson has no new injury worries.
Andreas Weimann (back) and Jack Hunt (calf) returned to the matchday squad for the clash with Birmingham in midweek, although the latter was an unused substitute and he will be among those hoping to be included.
Goalkeeper Frank Fielding (hand) and Korey Smith (midfielder) remain sidelined.
