Arsenal vs Southampton - Koscielny a doubt for Arsenal’s clash with Southampton
Posted Saturday, February 23, 2019 by PA
Arsenal will be sweating on the fitness of captain Laurent Koscielny ahead of Sunday’s Premier League visit of Southampton.
The defender limped off during Thursday’s 3-0 Europa League win over BATE Borisov and could miss the clash against struggling Saints.
Striker Alexandre Lacazette is available after missing that victory through suspension while midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles will be hoping to overcome illness to be involved as forward Danny Welbeck (ankle), right-back Hector Bellerin and defender Rob Holding (both knee) remain sidelined.
Southampton’s teenage forward Michael Obafemi will be in contention for Sunday’s Premier League trip to Arsenal
The 18-year-old, who has not featured since December 22, has returned to training following a thigh injury.
Midfielder Mario Lemina (abdominal) and striker Danny Ings (hamstring) remain unavailable to Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl.
