Crewe should have Tom Lowery available to face Northampton in their Sky Bet League Two clash on Saturday.
The midfielder was an unused substitute during the Exeter game after suffering a knock in the warm-up but should be fit enough to push for a starting berth.
James Jones remains sidelined with an ankle injury and has not played since the middle of January.
Crewe are 14th in the League Two table, eight points behind the play-off places.
Shay Facey could return for Northampton after missing the win at Stevenage.
The defender has been out with a thigh injury since February 9 but is in contention to be part of the macthday squad.
Jordan Turnbull played 76 minutes against Stevenage after coming back from an unspecified injury and is likely to retain his place in the starting XI, while Sam Foley (back spasm) and striker Marvin Sordell (knee) have played behind-closed-doors matches during the week and will feature in Cheshire.
George Cox remains out with an ankle ligament injury and has not played since January after joining from Brighton.
