Arsenal boss Emery on Suarez and transfers

Arsenal manager Unai Emery spoke on the club's late deals ahead of Thursday's deadline after their 2-1 win over Cardiff tonight.

Denis Suarez is poised to join from Barcelona on loan, and further reinforcements are being targeted.

On transfers, Emery added: "If a player can come here to help us, he will come.

"The last news, I don't know. My focus is on the match. Maybe tonight or tomorrow I will speak."

On Suarez he added: "We need wingers. Suarez, who I know, his qualities is this. I don't know now. It's a challenge for him and also to help us."

Suarez is expected to be available to make his debut for Sunday's Premier League trip to Manchester City.

Arsenal, West Ham and Newcastle in for Tielemans

Youri Tielemans has been the subject of three loan bids from Premier League trio Arsenal, West Ham and Newcastle.

The English clubs have all asked Monaco about taking the midfielder on loan, according to Sky Sports.

Belgium international Tielemans is highly rated but currently surplus to requirements at Monaco.

Leonardo Jardim is prepared to let the 21-year-old go before Thursday's deadline.

While Leicester have been frontrunners, Claude Puel has played down talk of a move this week.

Arsenal and City join PSG in Gueye raid

Arsenal have joined the hunt for Everton star and PSG target Idrissa Gueye.

Gueye has handed in a transfer request at Everton this week amid PSG's pursuit and is now keen to take the next step in his career.

The Ligue 1 title favourites saw a £21.5m bid rejected, and according to TeamTalk they are unlikely to return with an improved offer at this point.

Arsenal and Manchester City, though, are both ready to join the bidding.

Both of Everton's Premier League rivals are fans of Gueye and have made it clear they would be interested in signing the midfielder.

Suarez not at Arsenal vs Cardiff

Denis Suarez will not be in attendance at Arsenal's game with Cardiff tonight, despite his imminent arrival, according to BBC Sport journalist David Ornstein.

Suarez will not be at the Emirates tonight to watch the Gunners' Premier League visit from the Bluebirds.

He will seemingly meet his new team-mates later this week, and possibly as soon as tomorrow.

Arsenal will seal his capture before Thursday's 11pm deadline, though, as Ornstein adds the completion of the deal is close.

And Suarez is expected to be available for selection for Sunday's Premier League showdown with title-chasing Manchester City at the Etihad (4.30pm).

Nkunku to Arsenal hinging on Gueye to PSG

PSG are highly unlikely to let Christopher Nkunku leave for Arsenal, unless they secure the arrival of another midfielder.

Bringing in Everton's Idrissa Gueye is their next goal, with a bid already made.

The Toffees rejected their £21.5m offer, though, that has led to the player's subsequent reported transfer request.

According to media outlet Get French Football News, it is currently unclear if Arsenal are still interested now Suarez is joining subject to his medical.

But as things stand, it is said his potential move to north London is blocked.

PSG are apparently 'highly unlikely to budge on allowing the Frenchman to go' as Arsenal wanted a loan deal again given their restricted budget.

The Gunners' only hope, if they are still keen on the midfielder amid winger Suarez joining, is if Gueye or another midfielder joins PSG, despite Paredes being in Thomas Tuchel's squad now.

Juve and Dortmund fight for Christensen

Andreas Christensen is keen to leave Chelsea before Thursday with Juventus and Borussia Dortmund lining up bids.

The defender has struggled badly for first-team football this season.

And he angered Maurizio Sarri last week at Arsenal when he left the bench early in the 2-0 defeat.

Chelsea want a £6m loan fee before agreeing to let him go this week.

But even his long-term future at Stamford Bridge looks over.

Chelsea plan midfield for the future

Chelsea will reportedly not sign a back-up to Jorginho as they are wary of the progress made by Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Ethan Ampadu and Mason Mount.

While Maurizio Sarri is still demanding a new midfielder, the Telegraph are reporting that the Chelsea supremos are going to reject their manager's request.

The Blues have a number of young midfielders with high potential including Loftus-Cheek, Ampadu and Mount.

And the Stamford Bridge outfit are aware that any signing will block their pathways to the first-team.

Man City medical

Manchester City are closing in on the signing of Ante Palaversa.

The 18-year-old is set to join from Croatian side Hajduk Split for around £7m.

According to Sky Sports, Palaversa is undergoing a medical at the club.

He will put pen to paper on a four-and-a-half-year contract.

He could be loaned back to Hajduk Split for the rest of the season.

Arsenal to sign Suarez

Arsenal are set to sign Denis Suarez from Barcelona in the next few hours.

The 25-year-old midfielder has agreed to extend his contract until the summer of 2021.

Barcelona, in return, are willing to loan Suarez to the Gunners on loan without a compulsory purchase option.

Arsenal will fork out an initial £1.7m (€2m) loan fee with an option to buy at the end of the season.

Arsenal Barcelona war

Arsenal and Barcelona are at each other's throats over the failure to agree a move for Denis Suarez.

The 25-year-old midfielder was eager to link up with Unai Emery at the Emirates Stadium but the two clubs could not strike a deal.

Barcelona were willing to sanction a permanent sale but Arsenal could only afford to bring him to the club on loan.

Gunners bosses have since turned their attention to Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic but there is bad blood behind the scenes with their Nou Camp counterparts.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are blaming Arsenal director of football Raul Sanllehi for the transfer being killed off.

Mata to Barcelona?

Juan Mata's agent has offered the Manchester United playmaker to Barcelona, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The 30-year-old is set to leave Old Trafford at the end of the season on a free transfer when his contract expires.

One of Mata's representatives travelled to Barcelona for talks with Nou Camp chiefs.

It is claimed the Manchester United ace was pitched as a potential replacement for Philippe Coutinho, who has struggled since joining from Liverpool last January.

The former Zenit St-Petersburg has signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with the Ligue 1 champions.

Chelsea agreed a deal in principe to sign Paredes but a move failed to materialise.

"After my previous experiences in Italy and Russia, I now have this fantastic opportunity, not only to discover a new league, but above all one to wear one the most prestigious club jerseys in the world."

Rakitic shoots down Chelsea rumours

Barcelona ace Ivan Rakitic has no interest in a move to Chelsea.

The Croatia midfielder has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge ahead of Frenkie de Jong's arrival at the Nou Camp.

Rakitic said: "I want to be here and, if you can renew, be here for more years.

"I am very happy here, everyone knows, above all the 'presi'. I do not have to say anything else."

Emery transfer message

Unai Emery has revealed he has been promised transfer funds by Arsenal in the summer.

"I have had experience with different teams, teams like Sevilla and Valencia where usually we sold players each season," he said.

"And when I arrived at PSG it was different, because the team wanted to buy players.

"I can work with the two situations. My job is when the club do not need to buy players, but work with the players they already have, to achieve things with that group of players.

"When we have the possibility to buy different players with big quality to help us, we can do that.

"We are in one moment, but I know because the club is telling me that this moment is not good to buy players. Because it is not a good moment.

"But the club say to me in the summer it is going to be different. And we are going to have chances to spend money to buy players."

Perisic to Arsenal

Arsenal are set to launch a fresh bid for Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic.

The Serie A club have already knocked back one loan offer because they want guarantees of a permanent deal.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport reporter Nicolo Schirra, Perisic is hell bent on sealing the switch and is demanding an exit.

Schira wrote on Twitter: "Ivan Perisic today has reiterated the desire to leave Inter, but Arsenal's offer is considered insufficient by Marotta.

"Inter wants a permanent deal or obligation to buy after a loan. Not a loan with option to buy.

"Tomorrow will come a new bid from Gunners."

Liverpool £17m Omur claim

Liverpool have shot down reports they have secured a deal for Trabzonspor midfielder Abdulkadir Omur.

A Turkish publication claimed on Monday that the two clubs had shook hands on a £17m (€20m) fee.

The transfer was reportedly set to take place at the end of the season.

But, according to the Liverpool Echo, Anfield bosses have stressed that there has not been any talks for the 19-year-old.

Omur is keen on a move to Merseyside, and speaking last month, he said: "Liverpool are a great club, one of the greatest in the world. These offers are something Trabzonspor need to discuss.

"If the club give the go-ahead, talks can be held. The club's interests take precedence.

"I'll do whatever is in the club's best interests. If the club say leave, I'll leave. If they say stay, I'll stay."

Man Utd loan

Manchester United are plotting a loan swoop for Monaco midfielder Youri Tielemans, according to Nieuwsblad.

The 21-year-old is reportedly set to leave the Ligue 1 strugglers following the dismissal of Thierry Henry as head coach.

AC Milan and Barcelona are also monitoring the possibility of signing Tielemans on loan.

Leicester are hoping to sign Tielemans on a permanent deal worth around £20m.

Rakitic to Chelsea

Chelsea are interested in signing Barcelona ace Ivan Rakitic at the end of the season, according to Sport.

Maurizio Sarri is reportedly eager to revamp his squad at the end of the season, and Rakitic figures highly on his wish list.

The Croatian is fancied as a replacement for Cesc Fabregas, who joined Monaco earlier this month.

Rakitic could see his minutes on the pitch limited next season following the signing of Frenkie de Jong from
