Port Vale will assess Leon Legge for the visit of Colchester.
The defender missed the midweek Checkatrade Trophy win over Shrewsbury with a knock, but could return to the fray.
Defender Connell Rawlinson returned to replace Legge after missing the last four games with a thigh injury.
Striker Dior Angus featured off the bench against the Shrews following a loan spell away from the club in the first half of the season and will be hoping to again be involved.
Colchester will have centre-back Frankie Kent available following suspension.
Midfielder Courtney Senior and forward Mikael Mandron were both recalled to the U’s starting line-up for last weekend’s 3-3 home draw against Notts County.
Forward Luke Norris could be back in contention to start having come off the bench late on, with the Essex club looking to kickstart their play-off push after just one win from the past six matches.
Defender Will Wright has extended his stay with Dagenham until the end of the season.
