Manchester City vs Rotherham United - Fabian Delph still banned for City
Posted Saturday, January 05, 2019 by PA
Fabian Delph completes a three-match suspension as Manchester City host Sky Bet Championship side Rotherham in the third round of the FA Cup on Sunday.
Goalkeeper Aro Muric and midfielder Phil Foden, who have both featured regularly in domestic cup football this season, are among those who could start if manager Pep Guardiola makes changes.
Playmaker Kevin De Bruyne could get game time after recovering from a muscle problem.
Left-back Benjamin Mendy (knee) and goalkeeper Claudio Bravo (Achilles) are long-term absentees.
Rotherham welcome back Billy Jones from suspension for the visit across the Pennines.
Defender Jones sat out the 2-1 win over Preston with a one-match ban, though midfielder Richie Towell still has two games to serve on his suspension.
Defenders Zak Vyner and Clark Robertson are expected to be back from knocks that kept them out against Preston and could come into the starting XI.
Forward Kyle Vassell and midfielder Darren Potter remain in the treatment room.
