Highly-regarded Hoffenheim midfielder Kerem Demirbay has seemingly confirmed the interest of Premier League giants Liverpool in his services.
Demirbay's rise
Demirbay, a 25-year-old attacking midfielder, has enjoyed steady progression at club level over the past few seasons.
Impressive loan spells at the likes of Kaiserslautern and Fortuna Dusseldorf eventually earned the technically-gifted star a move to Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim in the summer of 2016.
And he has since gone from strength to strength with Die Kraichgauer, even earning himself a call-up to the German senior squad last summer, since notching 1 goal in his 2 appearances for Joachim Löw's side.
Liverpool interest
As such, Demirbay's progression at the Rhein-Neckar-Arena has unsurprisingly not gone unnoticed amongst European football's heavyweights.
Both Arsenal and Liverpool were said to have expressed an interest in the Turkish born-star's signature during the summer, with the latter said to be particularly keen.
Liverpool's collapsed move for Lyon star Nabil Fekir would certainly seem to suggest that Jurgen Klopp and co. are still on the lookout for a natural heir to Philippe Coutinho at the club, with Demirbay now said to be firmly back on the radar of the Merseyside giants.

Liverpool scouts at work
As per a report from German outlet Bild, representatives from Liverpool were present at both Hoffenheim's Champions League clash with Lyon last week, and the Bundesliga outfit's league outing versus Stuttgart on Saturday, in a bid to further assess Demirbay's talents.
And the Reds' scouts were likely to have been impressed by what they witnessed, with the midfielder having notched an assist versus Lyon, before coming off the bench to inspire his side's eventual 4-0 drubbing of Stuttgart:
'I have noticed'
As such, Demirbay was inevitably questioned on the rumours of Liverpool's interest in his signature on Saturday evening.
Following his starring role versus Stuttgart, the Hoffenheim star was asked whether he was aware that Liverpool had been taking in his recent performances.
And Demirbay was quick to confirm as much, revealing:
'Of course, I have noticed that.'
Demirbay also discussed his recent form, as well as divulging his favourite position on the pitch:
'I like the ball, and it likes me as well at the moment. I feel very good in the number 6 position. That's where I can set the pace.'
