Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo has launched a blast at Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.
After almost a decade in the Spanish capital, one filled with success, the Portuguese star left in the summer for a new adventure with Italian champions Juventus.
He told France Football: "Florentino Perez never looked at me in any way other than as part of a business relationship.
"The things he told me, he never said from the heart.
"I achieved many good things at Real Madrid and had many incredible moments with very valuable teammates that I will always remember.
"I will also always remember the fans, but I think that after nine years there it was time for a change and time to move clubs.
"I felt inside the club, especially from the president, that they no longer considered me the same way that they did in the start.
"The president looked at me as if I was no longer indispensable to them."
Ronaldo was also keen to stress that his move to Italy was not financially motivated and explained why footballing reasons convinced him that Juventus were the best fit.
"If it had all been about money, I'd have moved to China, where I would have earned five times as much as here or at Real Madrid," continued the former Manchester United man.
"I did not come to Juventus for the money.
"I earned the same in Madrid, if not more.
"The difference is that, at Juventus, they really wanted me.
"They told me that and made it clear.
"They showed me how much they wanted to have me here."
