Chelsea Are The Most Hated Club In The Premier League According To Survey

It might come as a surprise to many but Chelsea have been voted the most hated club in the Premier League, with Manchester United and Liverpool making up the top three.

Roman Abramovich and his billions have certainly splashed the cash in recent years, perhaps that's one of the major factors behind people's hatred for the club.

In a survey by The Mirror, they asked fans which clubs they love and hate in the current standings and it was a close affair, with Jose Mourinho's side receiving 68.1% of the vote while Chelsea edged in front with 68.7%.

Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool weren't exactly far off in third place with 52.8% while West Ham (47.6%), Arsenal (46.2%) and Tottenham (43.5%) made up the top six.

Here are the full set of results:

Chelsea - 68.7%
Man Utd - 68.1%
Liverpool - 52.8%
West Ham - 47.6%
Arsenal - 46.2%
Tottenham - 43.5%
Man City - 38.7%
Cardiff - 36.5%
Crystal Palace - 29.7%
Everton - 27.0%
Watford - 24.0%
Newcastle - 23.5%
Wolves - 20.1%
Leicester - 18.9%
Southampton - 16.3%
Brighton - 16.2%
Fulham - 15.0%
Burnley - 13.3%
Bournemouth - 10.2%
Huddersfield - 9.7%

Bournemouth, Huddersfield and Burnley will be relieved to be in the relegation zone on this occasion, while Newcastle, Watford and Everton predictably lie in mid-table, despite the Merseyside Derby links.

The report also revealed the clubs people love.

In another surprising set of results, an average of 35.8% of fans said they loved Burnley who were followed by Bournemouth (32.9%), Huddersfield (30.2%), Manchester City (28.3%), Newcastle (27.1%) and Fulham (also 27.1%).
