EX-ARSENAL star Carlos Vela has issued an angry denial — after being accused of propositioning a transsexual model.
The Mexico striker, 29, currently plays for Los Angeles FC.

The transsexual model Alee Salinas has reportedly claimed he texted her
He spent three seasons with the Gunners, scoring 11 goals in 62 games.
Vela is now at the centre of a storm in his home country after model Alejandra Salinas posted a supposed exchange of texts between herself and the footballer on social media.
The striker is married to Spanish journalist Saioa Canibano, and the couple have a son named Romeo.
The screenshots of the alleged texts appear to show Vela complimenting Salinas on her looks and asking to meet her in the Mexican city Guadalajara.
But she apparently turns the 71-cap international down, saying she does not date men who are married or with children.
An angry Vela has now taken to Twitter to deny he knows the model.
He wrote: "I want to use the same medium that has been used to defame me.
"A person I know nothing about, and who I have never contacted in any way, has used technology to achieve some personal objective.
"I respect every person's beliefs, politics and personal preferences — but it is bad when individuals seek to obtain things using high-profile people.
"This is a real shame, with unscrupulous people causing damage to achieve their ends.
"It is impossible for me to travel anywhere apart from with my club. I've not even been able to honour national team call-ups because of my duties with LA FC.
"I have a wonderful family, and nobody will succeed in damaging me.
"This is the one time I will address and clarify this painful matter.
"Thanks to everyone for your support."
Vela had several spells out on loan while with Arsenal, including a stint with West Brom in 2010-11 when he scored twice in eight games.
He joined Los Angeles during the summer after ending a seven-year stay with Real Sociedad.
