Arsenal fans in STITCHES at what Thierry Henry did in first Monaco press conference

ARSENAL legend Thierry Henry had fans in stitches on his first Monaco press conference without even meaning to do it.

He left his role as assistant manager for the Belgium national team to join the club where his playing career started.

The Frenchman had his first press conference since taking over today – but it didn’t go totally to plan.

On three separate occasions, he gave lengthy answers to journalists' questions in English.

But each time he forgot that an interpreter had to translate the whole answer.

And his reactions when realising his mistake were priceless.

The clip has gone viral online and Gunners fans were quick to comment their thoughts after it was posted to the club’s Reddit channel.

"Hahaha, gotta love Henry,” one wrote.

Another commented: “F*** me, that is so funny.”

A third added: “His reactions are priceless.”

And a fourth said: “I first thought it was a loop, hilarious!”

It comes after Henry revealed he would be using Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola as his “reference” in management.

The pair worked together at Barcelona in the late 2000s and – as with Guardiola at Barca – the 41-year-old’s first job in management comes at the same club where he started his playing career.
