Karanka expected to mix things up for Nottingham Forest’s cup clash with Bury

Nottingham Forest manager Aitor Karanka is expected to make wholesale changes for his team’s Carabao Cup first round appointment with Bury at the City Ground.
Karanka is keen to rest some of the players involved in Forest’s opening three games – an eight-day schedule that saw them tackle Bristol City, West Brom and Reading.
With Wigan next up in the league, Karanka could look at the likes of Matty Cash, Luke Steele and Jack Robinson as potential starters.
And there might also be an opportunity for latest squad addition Sam Bryam, who joined Forest last week on a season-long loan from West Ham.
Bury head to Nottingham on the back of a battling league display against MK Dons, going down to a 1-0 defeat in stoppage time.
Shakers manager Ryan Lowe will be tempted to retain the majority of his team on duty in that game.
But there could be a first start of the season for Jay O’Shea, who went on 14 minutes from time against MK Dons.
O’Shea suffered an injury during pre-season, before gradually working his way back to full fitness and looking sharp in a solid all-round team display.
