Cambridge waiting on injury news ahead of Newport visit

Cambridge manager Joe Dunne could find himself juggling player resources for Tuesday’s home Carabao Cup clash against Newport.
Dunne will need to check on centre-back Greg Taylor and goalkeeper David Forde, who both missed the League Two win against Notts County on Saturday because of injury.
Harrison Dunk, injured in the season opener against Port Vale, is another who will be assessed, but Dunne is optimistic that Jevani Brown could feature.
Brown has been sidelined due to a virus, and he faced a medical check-up on Monday, but the signs point to him being available either for the Newport game or next Saturday’s trip to Northampton.
David Pipe looks set to be missing for Newport after he picked up an injury late in the 1-0 victory over Crewe two days ago.
Mark O’Brien and Robbie Willmott, who have yet to feature this season because of injury, are again likely absentees, but Keanu Marsh-Brown should be in the selection mix following a knee problem.
County manager Michael Flynn is unlikely to make wholesale changes, but he might be tempted to run the rule over a handful of players.
Charlie Cooper, Tyler Forbes, Jay Foulston, Tyreeq Bakinson and Nick Townsend are among those likely to be in his thoughts in terms of gaining early season game-time.
