Marcus Rashford reaction: "Must start in Russia!"

England lead Costa Rica 1-0 at half-time courtesy of a sensational strike from Marcus Rashford whose long-range effort has the Three Lions' supporters roaring at Elland Road.
The Manchester United forward produced a moment of magic for England in the first-half to place his name in contention for a spot in Gareth Southgate's first starting-eleven in Russia.
In just 11 days, England will be lining up against Tunisia for their first game of the World Cup and the nation's supporters believe Rashford should be considered as a starter.
Rashford reaction
The 2017/2018 season was a tricky campaign for the 20-year-old as he saw his playing time under Jose Mourinho become somewhat sporadic given his rotational role in the squad.
Rashford started on just 17 occasions in the league for United which frustrated the Old Trafford faithful on so many occasions.
His restricted game time at United has seen him fall behind in the England pecking order to Dele Alli, Jesse Lingard and Raheem Sterling.
However, his ability to produce a moment of magic, like this evening, remains unquestionable and the forward should very much remain a leading candidate to start in Russia this summer.

'Rashford should start'
I know hes a scummer but if Southgate doesn't start Rashford he wants publicly flogging. By far and away our best player with the ball at his feet.

Like this swagger Rashford has got about him. Shows what he has in his repertoire when he’s not managed by Jose.. Needs to start at the WC!!

#England dominant as you would hope but Rashford looks something special tonight. Great feet. Lovely touches. Looks like Southgate as said go out and make it hard for me not to pick you. Spot on.
