Norwich should have defender Timm Klose available again following a hamstring problem for the Sky Bet Championship match against Nottingham Forest.
However, defender Christoph Zimmermann is unlikely to be involved after missing training this week for what head coach Daniel Farke said was a “private situation”.
Captain Ivo Pinto is in contention to return to the starting XI after the knee problem suffered when getting out of his car, although German defender Marco Stiepermann is recovering from a hernia operation.
On-loan Tottenham midfelder Marcus Edwards is close to match fitness following his back problem, winger Matt Jarvis is set for a run-out with the under-23s after stepping up his rehabilitation from a long-term ankle injury, while midfielder Tom Trybull (ankle/knee) and Louis Thompson (Achilles) both continue their recovery.
Nottingham Forest will have defender Eric Lichaj available again following a three-match suspension.
Veteran forward Daryl Murphy came off the bench for the second half of Saturday’s win over Birmingham, so could be in contention to start.
Defender Jack Hobbs has returned to training following his back problem, but will not be rushed back into the starting XI.
Midfielders Chris Cohen (knee) and David Vaughan continue their rehabilitation.
