Zlatan Ibrahimovic has reminded Jose Mourinho that he is working hard on his comeback from injury to return to competitive action for Manchester United.
The former Sweden international signed a new contract with the Red Devils last month after Ibrahimovic was released following the expiration of his deal earlier this summer.
The 35-year-old scored 28 times in all competitions in his first season at Old Trafford to help the Red Devils to win the EFL Cup and the Europa League in Mourinho's debut campaign.
Ibrahimovic suffered a season-ending knee injury in April during Manchester United's victory over Anderlecht in the Europa League quarter-final to leave his future in doubt.
Manchester United signed Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku in a £75m deal from Everton to improve Mourinho's attacking options ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.
The 24-year-old has already scored three goals in three games ahead of Manchester United's trip to Stoke City on Saturday evening.
But Ibrahimovic was quick to remind Mourinho that he is rehabilitation is taking shape ahead of his return to full fitness.
Ibrahimovic wrote on his Instagram page:
"Tell Jose I'm coming"
Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League table last season but still qualified for the Champions League thanks to their Europa League triumph.
