Arsenal have submitted a formal bid of around £30 million for Monaco winger Thomas Lemar, according to reports.
The 21-year-old French international, according to L'Équipe, is a priority signing for Arsène Wenger this summer.
Lemar played an instrumental role in Les Monégasques winning the French championship last season, as well as reaching the Champions League semi-finals, and subsequently attracted attention from a host of clubs.
His performances also earned him international recognition, having won five caps with France to date, with Monaco reluctant to see him leave the principality.
A graduate of Caen's youth set-up the 21-year-old joined Monaco in July 2015 and has gone on to register 89 appearances in which he's managed 19 goals and 22 assists.
Across last season he produced 14 goals and 17 assists through 55 matches in all competitions with Wenger hoping he becomes one of his club's first major acquisition as he looks to strengthen his squad.
