Hakan Calhanoglu is open to a move away from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer, his representative, Bektas Demirtas has revealed.
The Turkey international, who is unable to play for the remainder of the campaign due to the result of a FIFA ban which was upheld by the Court of Arbitration for Sport last month, has reportedly caught the attention of Premier League leaders Chelsea.
Recently he was forced to deny quotes - via his official Twitter account - attributed to him stating his desire to join the Stamford Bridge outfit when this summer’s transfer window reopens in July. However, his agent has suggested that a move could be on the cards in the near future.
"Hakan will be [under contract] at Leverkusen for three years," Demirtas told Kicker, as reported by Goal.
"If an offer comes along that is fine for Bayer and which also fits with Hakan, we will do a transfer.
"But the final decision lies with the club."
Prior to his four-month ban, Calhanoglu had been the joint-most creative player in the Leverkusen squad having created 29 chances, while his tally of five assists is a total bettered than only by Julian Brandt (six).
