'Shut the f**k up idiots' - Marcelo's foul-mouthed rant at Madrid fans after Ronaldo birthday snub

The full-back lashed out at supporters on Instagram who accused him of ignoring his club team-mate in favour of Barcelona forward Neymar

A lot of Real Madrid fans were unhappy when they saw defender Marcelo wishing happy birthday to Neymar but not to Cristiano Ronaldo.

The attackers share a birthday, but when Marcelo sent a message to his Brazil team-mate rather than his Real Madrid ones, fans were very unhappy.

Neymar lines out for Real's bitter rivals Barcelona, and supporters did not appreciate what they saw as the full-back snubbing their idol.

The Brazilian posted a photo of himself with Neymar, with the caption "Congratulations and many happy returns. Lots of health, love and success little bro I love you!!"

However, Marcelo was inundated with replies asking him why he didn't celebrate Ronaldo's birthday, causing him to snap at his followers, writing "Shut the f**k up idots."

The 28-year-old later shared another Instagram photo of himself with the Portugal attacker; but by then the damage was done for a lot of Madrid fans!
