United eased to victory at the King Power Stadium.
Mourinho's men barely broke sweat after goals from Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic put them 2-0 up at half-time.
Juan Mata added a third after the break and it was plain sailing from there.
"I think we played like we normally play," Mourinho said.
"We played well and tried to win.
"They were a difficult team but that is something we are used too."

United are now just two points off the top four.
The Manchester giants have fourth-placed Arsenal in their sights, but Mourinho won't be drawn on the race for a Champions League spot.
"I don't look to others," Mourinho added.
