Bristol Rovers vs Swindon - Ryan Sweeney set for Bristol Rovers bow against Swindon
Posted Friday, January 27, 2017 by PA
Loan signing Ryan Sweeney could be in line for a Bristol Rovers debut against Swindon in the Sky Bet League One derby.
Rovers have conceded 10 goals in four games, and Stoke defender Sweeney stands by with Jake Clarke-Salter still some way short of a return after fracturing his elbow in November.
But fellow new boy Jonny Burn might have to wait for his chance after having little time with the squad since completing his permanent transfer from Middlesbrough.
Billy Bodin and Daniel Leadbitter will be assessed after picking up knocks in the 3-1 defeat at Walsall last weekend.
Swindon striker Jon Obika will miss the visit to the Memorial Stadium after he sustained a knock.
Manager Luke Williams is also without defender Brad Barry as he continues to nurse an ankle injury.
Anton Rodgers should be in the squad despite suffering a chest injury following an accidental collision in training earlier this week.
Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill and Ellis Iandolo are closing in on a return to first-team action after being sidelined through injury.
