Nottingham Forest vs Bristol City - Dani Pinillos in contention to start
Posted Friday, January 20, 2017 by PA
Nottingham Forest full-back Dani Pinillos is in contention for a starting place ahead of his side's Sky Bet Championship clash against Bristol City.
The 24-year-old made his return from a knee injury as a substitute in the draw at Birmingham and interim boss Gary Brazil may hand the Spaniard a starting berth.
Pajtim Kasami and Danny Fox are also nearing returns but Saturday's match could come too soon for the pair. Armand Traore (knee) and Chris Cohen (groin) remain sidelined with long-term injuries.
Forest will also be without midfielder Henri Lansbury after his transfer to fellow Championship club Aston Villa but Jamie Ward returns from a loan spell at Burton.
New signing Fabian Giefer could make his Bristol City debut if the Robins receive international clearance in time.
The German goalkeeper has been signed on loan from Schalke until the end of the season.
City have no new injury worries but Korey Smith has now been ruled out for six to eight weeks with a hamstring problem.
Adam Matthews is close to a comeback after calf and hamstring trouble, but the Wales defender remains sidelined for the next seven to 10 days.
