Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud was scared of 1980s TV star ALF

Does Olivier Giroud strike you as someone who is scared of anything?

No we thought not either.

But the France forward has admitted there is something that gets under his skin.

And it's not the thought of having to explain various misdemeanours to his very understanding wife.

Oh no.

The former Montpellier striker has admitted he was terrified of 1980s kids TV show ALF.

Speaking to the Arsenal programme, ahead of the 1-1 draw with Spurs, the 30-year-old said...

"This is so funny, but my brothers are older than me – I was the youngest, and they used to tease me about a kids TV character called ALF.

"Do you know him? Alf the Alien, my god he was so ugly and I was so scared of him.

"My brothers used to say, "Be careful, Alf is going to get you tonight!" They went too far with it!"

Is their a whiff of the Donald Trump's about him?
