Footballers have plenty of distractions to worry about in their day to day lives.
But Man City players have one less thing to worry about since Pep Guardiola banned all use of the internet at the club.
Defender Pablo Zabaleta explained that mealtimes are an internet free zone, forcing City’s players to bond whether they like it or not.
He told TyC Sports: “He forces us to have breakfast and lunch together at the club.
"The internet is cut off, we are held incommunicado. We don’t even use 3G.”
No 3G! How do they get more lives when they’re stuck on Candy Crush?
But Guardiola’s internet ban is clearly having the desired impact on City’s squad, at least up to the 2-0 defeat at the hands of Spurs.
Raheem Sterling is playing with a smile on his face, John Stones is looking like the best defender in England again and Claudio Bravo’s been effectively integrated into the no.10 role.
What’s not to love? We’re going off the grid as we speak.
