STING: Harry Redknapp is the latest manager named in The Telegraph's investigation
Redknapp was videoed by the newspaper apparently discussing a match where “the lads” had “all had a spread bet” on the scoreline.
He allegedly told undercover reporters that one star told a football agent to “remortgage your house” because the odds were favourable.
When approached by the newspaper, Mr Redknapp admitted becoming aware of his players betting on the match, adding: "Who gives a s*** about that?”
STAR: Harry Redknapp has managed a host of Premier League clubs
There is no suggestion of any criminality on Mr Redknapp’s part – or that he knew players had bet on the match when the game kicked off.
According to the newspaper, bookmakers had given long odds on Redknapp’s side winning.
The former Spurs, Portsmouth, Southampton and West Ham manager met undercover reporters posing as representatives of a Far East firm that wanted to break into English football.
The Telegraph have not revealed what club Mr Redknapp was managing at the time of the alleged incident.
This week, a host of football managers have been named in the newspaper’s sting.
Sam Allardyce was forced to leave his position as England boss.
He was filmed allegedly offering advice on how to circumvent rules on transfers and left the position after just 67 days in charge.
