FLOGGED: ISIS gave three lads 30 lashes for playing football

This week the death cult's leaders announced they were banning citizens in their occupied territory for wearing football shirts.

The move comes as the deranged jihadis try to stop youths from "idolising" their favourite teams.

But reports claim they have now carried out their first football-inspired public flogging after arresting three young men – one of whom was wearing a Lionel Messi t shirt.

LEGEND: Lionel Messi is one of the most recognisable names in football

ISIS fighters seized the three youths who they caught having a kick about in central Mosul, Iraq.

Enraged by their defiance of cult law, they snatched the Lionel Messi shirt from the youngster and tore it up.

The sickos then gave each youth 30 lashes in a public square in front of a gathered crowd.

A shocking account of the incident was given by a witness to Iraqi News.

The source said: "ISIS men arrested three young men for playing football, one player wearing a Messi shirt in Martyrs’ Park in downtown Mosul.

"ISIS militants have lashed every young man with 30 lashes in a public square in front of a crowd of people in central Mosul, as they are playing a game, which is prohibited in Islam.

"ISIS tore the T-shirt which carried Messi ‘s name.”

Crumbling ISIS declared a state of emergency as they face being battered from all sides.

But despite losing ground on the battlefield they are continuing to last out abroad and release awful torture filled propaganda videos.

The cult filmed themselves butchering 24 men like animals in their "worst ever" atrocity and also released a clip of them strapping a man to a stake before machine-gunning him to death.
