Matteo Darmian has played one game for United this season

Matteo Darmian does not look to be letting his lack of first team action for Manchester United under Jose Mourinho get him down.

The Italian defender was left out of the Red Devils squad as United slumped to a 3-1 loss to Watford on Sunday afternoon and Mourinho’s third defeat as manager at Old Trafford.

Darmian has found his first-team opportunities under Mourinho few and far between so far this season.

The Italy international has only made one appearance so far this term, when he played the full 90 minutes in the 1-0 Europa League loss to Feyenoord last week.

However, the 26-year-old defender looked to be in good spirits nonetheless as he enjoyed a walk around Oxford Street in London with his girlfriend Francesca Cormanni and some friends.

His girlfriend shared the photo above on her personal Instagram account and wrote: “Yes we London 👣😉 @matteodarmian36 @m_laura6 @angeloogbonna21”

Darmian will be hoping to feature for United when the Red Devils return to Premier League action next weekend with a home clash against Leicester City on Saturday.
