Barcelona Vice President Jordi Mestre came out with some hard hitting words regarding the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) and their recent decision to allow Real Madrid youngsters to feature despite the transfer ban, a measure that the Catalan club feels reveals preferential treatment.
The dispute has taken another dimension given the similarities and differences between the cases at Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid and because of the rivalry between the clubs.
"This is an instance of comparative wrongdoing," Mestre said, revealing how Barcelona also asked for this measure before it being denied.
"The only difference is that they won't let our kids play, while there's can.
"To make matters worse, our players had to leave La Masia, against FIFA's very own rules, which are meant to protect the kids."
