New Chelsea signing dedicates heartfelt message to Willian

David Luiz has paid tribute to his long-standing friendship with Chelsea midfielder Willian.

The Brazilian pair have been reunited after the centre-half completed a £32m transfer to Chelsea from Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain on deadline day last week.

Luiz, who has signed a three-year deal with the west London side, played alongside Willian for six months before his £50m move to French giants PSG under Jose Mourinho.

However, the pair's friendship has remained strong despite Luiz's two-year spell in the French capital and the Brazilian defender posted the above photo on his Instagram page.

Luiz wrote the following caption:

"Brother for life ! It is now over 20 years of friendship ... always together! 👊🏻 @ willianborges88"

The 29-year-old versatile defender won the Champions League, the Europa League and the FA Cup during his first spell at the west London side before completing a transfer to PSG two years ago.

Luiz was one of five summer signings at Stamford Bridge after new manager Antonio Conte signed Michy Batshuayi, N'Golo Kante, Eduardo and Marcos Alonso in the transfer window.
