Premier League stars enjoy day of dining and adventure with 'the boys'... despite playing for rival clubs

DESPITE their respective sides fighting it out for the Premier League title, German stars Mesut Ozil and Ilkay Gundogan looked cosy as they enjoyed an “afternoon excursion” together.

Arsenal star Ozil and Manchester City’s big money buy Gundogan know each other well through their time representing their country.

And although they both now play for two of England’s biggest clubs, the bond between the duo does not seem to have been affected.

Both men appeared to have Thursday afternoon off and decided to link up with more mutual friends to bromance.

Former Real Madrid star Ozil was the first to share their adventures on social media, posting the above shot and message after enjoying a meal.

And shortly afterwards Gundogan followed suit, sharing an image of the men on an “afternoon excursion”.

It remains to be seen whether they will be as close when the two come face-to-face on the pitch.

City will welcome Ozil and his Arsenal team-mates to the Etihad in December.
