Pogba, 23, stunned staff with his appetite when he visited the Bem Brasil eaterie in Manchester with fellow United summer signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan, 27.

Diners at the city centre restaurant are brought never-ending cuts of prime beef served on giant sewers which are carved at the table.

They are given reversible discs to place on the table – green telling waiters to carry on bringing meat while the reverse red side orders them to stop.

A source said: ''The staff have never seen anyone eat so much meat.
