BAD TIMING: The site broke hours before Leicester City's game
The Premier League returns today as mighty Leicester City look to defend their title.
But Twitter went into meltdown this morning after the league's official fantasy football site went down for more than an hour.
More than 3.5million people play the game and many were making last-minute selection adjustments when the website stalled.
Users had trouble logging in on both the app and the desktop browser.
The angry wannabe footie managers received an error message every time they entered their details.
Premier League confirmed servers were down as the 11:30am deadline for team selection passed.
“Seems like a lot of you are making last-minute changes to your #FPL team, we are working on speeding up the servers, bear with us…” a statement read on twitter.
"Apologies, we know some of you are struggling to log in to #FPL. The volume of traffic is huge & we're working hard to fix."
Leicester open the campaign in the early kick-off against newcomers Hull City.
In the pick of the rest of the day's games, former Manchester United boss David Moyes takes his Sunderland team to Manchester City.
