Danny Ings celebrates his 24th birthday in style after returning from USA
Danny Ings returned from Liverpool's tour of United States to a birthday surprise after the striker turned 24 last month.
The England Under-21 international found his first-team opportunities limited during their tour of California and Missouri.
Liverpool lost 1-0 to Chelsea in Pasadena before a 2-0 victory over Serie A giants AC Milan at Levi Stadium at the weekend.
However, the 18-time English champions ended their tour of USA on a sour note after a 2-1 defeat by Roma in St Louis.
Ings featured heavily in Liverpool's pre-season friendlies on English soil before the Reds jetted off to United States.
The former Burnley man turned 24 during his time Stateside and Ings's family were ready to celebrate the milestone when the forward returned home to Winchester on Tuesday.
Ings posted the above photo on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption:
The striker scored three times in nine appearances for Liverpool last season before Ings suffered a serious knee injury in October which ended his campaign.
The ex-Burnley man made his first competitive appearance under Klopp in Liverpool’s final game of the Premier League season at West Brom.
