BALE ME OUT: The Wales forward forgot to take any cash to the course
The Welsh superstar flew a group of pals to Scotland to play the famous Castle Stuart course.
But when he finished his round the £300,000-a-week ace realised he didn’t have any money to pay the £163 course fee and caddy’s tip.
SHORT: Bale was unable to pay his course fee and candy's tips
He was saved when a member of staff drove him to an ATM at the nearby airport.
A source said: “It was quite funny one of the world’s highest paid sportsmen didn’t have cash on him. But he quickly rectified it.”
Bale, 27, is on a whistle-stop tour of some of Scotland’s most exclusive golf courses following Wales’ success at Euro 2016.
SCORE: Bale got a lift to an ATM so he could settle
The source added: “He didn’t talk about the Euros, preferring to talk golf.
"He happily signed autographs and posed for photographs before heading off.”
SWING: The humble star preferred to talk about golf than his Euro heroics
The Real Madrid forward, who plays off a handicap of six, then travelled an hour north where he played the Royal Dornoch course.
Jeremy Matte, Castle Stuart Links director of golf, said: “It was a pleasure having Gareth and his friends here.”
