GENEROUS JOSE Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho gives homeless man £20 but can’t pull a smile for fan’s selfie

JOSE MOURINHO should feel like a million-dollar man after landing the job of his dreams.

But the new Manchester United boss was unable to crack a smile as he posed for selfies with fans, despite appearing to hand a homeless man a £20 just moments before.

Mourinho was spotted being followed by a number of homeless people as he strolled through the city centre, and one appeared to be in luck as the Special One dug into his wallet to produce some cash.

Mourinho was then accosted by a number of eager fans at the Lowry Hotel, embarrassing new Manchester City coach Mikel Arteta in the process.

The former Chelsea boss was asked to sign some shirts and even pose for selfies, but he did not seem too impressed with the requests.

The supporters – who had first been clamouring for Arteta – mobbed Mourinho as soon as he appeared.

And the Portuguese tactician could not even manage a smirk after stealing the limelight from the former Arsenal man.

Mourinho made it his business to go after Arsene Wenger during his time at Stamford Bridge, and Arteta could not keep quiet in 2014 when Mourinho branded Wenger a ‘specialist in failure'.

But the Special One won't mind after being introduced to fans and the press at Old Trafford earlier this week.

Mourinho has already signed a number of top players including Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

But Mourinho still wants more, with Juventus ace Paul Pogba a £100million summer target.

The former Red Devils midfielder has told friends he wants to return to the Theatre of Dreams, but it seems that United will face stiff competition from Real Madrid for the Frenchman's coveted signature.
